Process of Planting the Seeds in our Soaps:

Outdoors:

-Prior to planting the seeds, tear the packaging open and then wet it.

  1. Wait until late May or early June to make sure seeds are naturally awake.

  2. Clear the soil of weeds, and grass and loosen the top 2 in of soil with a rake.

  3. Scatter the seeds evenly over the loosened area.

  4. Lightly walk over or rake over the seeds to ensure they have good contact with the soil. However, do not plant them too deeply.

  5. Use a fine mist to dampen the soil after planting and then water the seeds consistently.

Indoors:

-Prior to planting the seeds, wet the packaging

  1. Use seedling trays or pots with drainage holes as the containers for the seeds.

  2. Obtain and use sterile, soilless seed starting mix to plant the seeds in.

  3. These seeds require lots of light, so make sure they are positioned to receive sunlight or are under a growth light for 14-16 hours a day.

  4. Keep them at a steady room temperature of 18-21°C

  5. Use a spray bottle to mist them 1-2 times a day. The seeds must be damp to germinate.

  6. After sprouts appear, only water when the soil feels dry and rather than misting, pour water into the trays under the pot. Let them soak for 15 minutes and then dump the extra water.

-Seeds sourced from a Canadian Brand that is dedicated to supporting the environment
